Of Course Kanye Blasts Sway And Charlamagne Tha God Waaaay After The Fact

By AJ

Kanye’s been relatively quiet lately, seemingly letting publications champion The College Dropout’s 10-year anniversary and touring the nation.
But, of course, the silence was bound to be broken, and at a tour stop at Penn State, Kanye went all Kanye on stage. Between the hooks for “Testify” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” Ye ranted and raved about hard work, and two of his more recent nemeses:
“Ten years of this shit! If I go to a radio interview, shut the f*ck up! Shut the f*ck up! If you on your talk show at night time, showing a picture of me walking with my girlfriend… shut the f*ck up! Ten years! Weeks in the studio! Every night, 5 AM. Working hard on that sh*t. This ain’t no joke… we think about Shakespeare, we think about Beethoven. What can ya’ll play on your way to school, on your way to work?”
Then he started calling out names:
“What the f*ck you do? They gon’ say I’m screaming, so lemme say it in a very nice, calm way so that you know I’m not upset: what the f*ck did you do? … What have you done with the past 10 years of your motherf*cking life? Charlamagne, Sway? F*ck you did?”
And the crowd goes wild.
Look, we’ve all been here before with ‘Ye, Sway and Charlamagne; the content of Ye’s message is no different than it was when Sway didn’t have the answers. But this time, there’s no way for the two journalists to defend themselves. They probably received the message more or less the same way that we did: through tweets, texts and/or emails.
Couple this with the way that Drake was totally willing to bark back at Rolling Stone for “misquoting” him, and we would appear to have a generation of rap stars who think that journalism equates to free, positive publicity. Sorry, guys, but that’s not how this works.
Just because you’ve dropped some gems over the years doesn’t mean you can choose how you’re received by the media. You make a video like “Bound 2,” people are going to snicker from the sidelines. Ditto with any contradictory statement that Drake’s made over the years.
Dahh, well. More than any other genre, rap is about the personalities and storylines at work behind the music. That can be frustrating as hell sometimes. But we’re lying to ourselves if we don’t admit that Kanye just made our Friday a bit more interesting.

Beyonce Ft. Jay Z, Kanye West – “Drunk In Love (Remix)”

Producer Mike Dean freaked Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” to allow Kanye to rap about all the freak nasty things he does with Kim Kardashian. In doing so, we learn why ‘Ye decided to put a ring on it. Kim’s a keeper!

Chris Tucker Addresses Likelihood Of New "Friday" Film Involvement

Chris Tucker Addresses Likelihood Of New "Friday" Film Involvement
Chris Tucker says "Friday" has to evolve and adds that it "might happen."
Chris Tucker, who co-starred with Ice Cube in 1995'sFriday, recently spoke about reconnecting with Cube on another installment of the film. Tucker, who played the role of Smokey said he is trying to become more involved with the potential project.
“I’m actually trying to help [the studio] come up with some ideas and be apart of the producing process with Cube to see if we can come up with something, so that might happen,” Tucker said during an interview with Shade 45's Sway In The Morning.
Still, the actor said that the film has to be different from the 1995 film he co-starred in.
“If I do a movie like Friday again it has to evolve,” he said. “I evolved from Smokey when I was that age when I did that movie, from when I did Fifth Element or even the first Rush Hour. So, every character I look at now I’m like, 'Can I play it?' Because where I am right now...I pull a lot from real life. I put a lot of myself in the characters.”
"Yeah, [Last Friday is] coming," Cube said at the time. "We're marinating on it, putting it together…probably my next album [Everythang's Corrupt] will be done quicker than the Friday movie. We just turned in the script, so it's going to take a couple of more months to put it together."
"I want [Chris Tucker] to be in it," Cube said at the time. "He's given us every indication that he's gonna be in it. Until he shows up on set, you never know. That's really how it goes."

DMX Discusses Potential George Zimmerman Boxing Match

DMX Discusses Potential George Zimmerman Boxing Match
DMX says he's confident he can defeat George Zimmerman in a potential boxing match despite being outweighed by more than 40 pounds.
DMX says that he would win his potential boxing match with George Zimmerman, even though Zimmerman outweighs him by more than 40 pounds.
“It doesn’t matter,” DMX says in an interview with Fox Carolina News. "When you fight with your heart, you’re always gonna win.”
The report says that DMX is 6’ and 160 pounds and that Zimmerman is 5’7” and 204 pounds.
Shannon “The Cannon” Hudson, a world kickboxing champion and founder and CEO of the 9Round kickboxing fitness chain, was interviewed about the potential match by Fox Carolina News. He said there is a key component to evaluating fighters.
“I don’t know how good DMX or his opponent George can take a punch,” Hudson said. "No matter how good you are, if you get hit and you can’t take it, it’s over.”
Nonetheless, Hudson said who he thought would win a fight between the two.
“I’m going to put my money on DMX ‘cause, you know, he’s wiry,” Hudson said. "He’s obviously in better condition probably just by looking [at him]. But who knows.”
Even though the match has been discussed, DMX says that he is not officially slated to fight Zimmerman.
“I was challenged,” DMX says. "I still haven’t decided if I was really going to do it. But if I did do it, whatever money that was supposed to go to him would have to go to charity...[I] will gladly be the [expletive] out of him.”
In July 2013, George Zimmerman was found not guilty of second degree murder and manslaughter. He was accused of murdering Trayvon Martin in 2012. Martin was 17.
The official date, time and location of the boxing match between Zimmerman and his yet-to-be-named opponent are set to be announced February 12. The boxing match is slated to last three rounds.
Zimmerman has said that he will donate the money he earns for the event to a charity.
