Barnabas Davis Arrested With 633 Packs Of 'Ebola'-branded Heroin

Accused drug dealer Barnabas Davis was apparently hoping to stand out from his competition by capitalizing on global paranoia.

When police in Toms River, New Jersey, arrested Davis, 47, on Monday, they allegedly discovered 633 wax folds of heroin as well as "trademark" stamps that marked the packets with the brand name "Ebola."

Investigators said they got a tip about drug dealing taking place in the rear suites of the Ramada Inn along Route 9 and executed a search warrant of Davis' room, NBC Philadelphia reports.

The Ebola-branded heroin doesn't actually contain the deadly virus. It's just a way for customers to ask for a specific type of heroin, according to Toms River police officer Ralph Stocco.

"Different dealers have different potencies and products. Many times they are labeled with catchy phrases," Stocco told the Daily News. "In the past we have had Bin Laden, Hello Kitty, D.O.A., Twin Towers, 911, gumball, pow, etc."

Davis -- known as "Hammer" by some -- was charged with possession of heroin,possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, according to NJ.com.

He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.

Investigators say the Ramada Inn had no knowledge or involvement in Davis' alleged drug dealing and cooperated in the investigation, 6abc.com reports.

Last night while at the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation’s 2014 Angel Ball, which was held in New York City, Beyoncé’s mama and Jamie Foxx got busy on the dance floor during a live performance of “Gold Digger.” Their little dance number took an interesting turn when Ms. Tina turned around and began backing that thang up on Jamie. Jamie, unsure of what to do at first but clearly wanting to remain respectful, slides from behind the bootylicious beauty and continues rapping along to the song. It’s all pretty innocent, but hilarious to watch.

On another note, Tina was looking stunning at the gala and showed up with her new beau, Richard Lawson, on her arm. She’s definitely winning these days. Earlier this month, she opened up about life after divorce and what it taught her.

“It gave me the courage to take some time off,” she shared. “I started reading my art books. I love art but I had never had the time. I started traveling. I would travel with my daughter, but not to work! I would say, ‘No I’m not working.’ I had my girlfriend who made me laugh. I would send for her and she would come and come on the road because she’s as crazy as I don’t know what — in a good way!”

“I had just lost all of myself so I realize now that part of the low self-esteem was, yes, being 58 and having to start all over again, and the other part is that I just lost myself. That I was so busy working and going and taking care of everybody else that I just forgot about Tina. So I would tell my kids, ‘You know what, you can call me and I’ll be there if it’s really something important, but otherwise, I’m taking care of Tina. This is my selfish moment.’ And before I knew it, I started liking me again.”

Kanye West Says People Want To "Michael Jackson" Him To Death

"I just felt I had to just turn up a little bit," Kanye West says at Teyana Taylor's "VII" listening session. "Fuck that."

Kanye West expressed his pride in his G.O.O.D. Music Label artist Teyana Taylor at the listening session for her forthcoming VII album yesterday (October 20) at Siren Studios in Hollywood. He explained that he is sometimes hesitant to fully show his emotion because of media criticism, but was going to let himself free for the evening.

“Sometimes, I don’t talk the most politically correct whatever the type of shit,” the rapper-producer said in a video posted by MTV News, in which he also said, "muthafuckas wanna Michael Jackson me to death and shit and act like I don’t do nothing positive and attack me." 

“But I felt like I really express how proud I was of this person," West added elsewhere, "of this human being that had to fight, of this artist that’s fighting to make something that she really feel, that really connects in this generation.”

Taylor’s debut album, VII, is slated to be released November 4. The Harlem singer signed to G.O.O.D. Music in 2012 after appearing on the intro track for West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. She then appeared on two songs on the label’s compilation album, Cruel Summer. 

“I feel like Teyana provides something that is so R&B, so black, so hood so like missing, so necessary in the marketplace,” West said. “That was what was extremely interesting about what she did on Dark Fantasy, what she did every time she did vocals. A lot of people argue that she had the hottest joint on Cruel Summer.”

Kanye continues by expressing his support for other G.O.O.D. Music members Pusha T and Big Sean despite outside criticism. 

“I’m just going ahead, be Ye, and put this shit on E! News and trying to say I’m a crazy motherfucker and shit,” he said, “but you know what? This is about artistry and fighting for artists to get they visions out. Like it says, the name of the label, Get Out Our Dreams and it’s a collective of motherfuckers who believe in real music. There’s never been someone on the label that has had to take something into their own hands quite as much as this girl had to do so I really want y’all to give her her credit for fighting against an entire system.”

West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, and Big Sean were also in attendance, as were as Chris Brown, Nelly and YG, according to MTV News.

Taylor has already dropped visuals for “Do Not Disturb” and “Business.”

She said in August that she had a tight grip on the album, not allowing West to get a copy until it was finished. 

“All he could do is laugh, because he knows I get it from him,” she said at the time.

DJ Premier Set To Produce Loaded Lux's Album

Boom Bap legend DJ Premier will produce an entire album for battle rapper Loaded Lux.

DJ Premier and Loaded Lux are set to team up for the release of a joint album, as reported byAllHipHop.com.

“I was like, ‘Yo, we gotta work on a project,'” Premier says. “We haven’t put it out there, but we’ve been having verbal meetings about doing an album project together, and we’re gonna make that happen.”

No timetable has been set for the release of this project.

Veteran music producer DJ Premier recently confirmed a collaborative album with Royce Da 5’9, titled PHRYME.

The trailer for PHRYME was released last month.

Loaded Lux was featured in one of Battle Rap’s marquee match-ups of 2014 when he battled Murda Mook in July.

T.I. Explains Bond With Wife

T.I. criticizes those on social media, says he and Tiny bonded because she was "just as crazy" as him.

During an appearance on “The Real” this week, Atlanta, Georgia rapper T.I. was asked what made his wife,Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, the one. He explained that Tiny, who he’s been with for 13, 14 years, can be “just as crazy” as him and was accepting of his “ridiculous” lifestyle as a rapper.

“She was probably just as crazy as me in some ways. You know, I live a very ridiculous life. So, you know, she wasn’t intimidated by that. I think that’s probably what it was more than anything,” T.I. said.

T.I. was also asked about rumors on social media about the two not being together. The rumors grew rampant following a brawl between T.I. and Floyd Mayweather, which allegedly took place due to the professional boxer’s relationship with Tiny.

In response to the question, T.I. questioned why people on social media can provide commentary on a situation they don’t have any firsthand knowledge of.

“I don’t even understand what the shade is,” he said. “And you said ‘social media.’ What I get from social media is that’s people who have the luxury of being nobodies. They can just comment on stuff that they don’t have any kind of—Ain’t nothing really linking the comments back to them. So, they can make a negative comment today and then turn around and make a positive one tomorrow and nobody’s holding them accountable, so I don’t pay that no mind.”

Following his brawl with T.I. in Las Vegas, Nevada in May, Floyd Mayweather declared that he had sex with Tiny, after he was asked about T.I. during a press conference.

Shortly after making comments about T.I. and Tiny during the press conference, Mayweather clarified his comments via Instagram. The boxer stated the following in a post uploaded to Instagram in July:

"At the press conference, I said “… he thinks I was f*cking his b*tch”. I DID NOT say “… I was f*cking his b*tch”. I've never been with Tiny sexually. I respect her situation and I thinks she's a good person. I would never disrespect a marriage. #Mayhem on September 13th.”

Drake Responds To Kevin Hart Jokes About Airball

Drake included hashtags like #IPlayTennis and #TheLightsWereBright as excuses for his airball during a college basketball warm-up.

While warming up with the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team at the program’s opening practice on Friday (October 17), Drake was filmed shooting an airball by ESPN cameras on-hand. Poking fun at the miss, Kevin Hart took to his Instagram account to taunt the rapper with a video of the attempt overlaid with Drake’s own recent lyrical brag about being “Steph Curry with the shot.”

Hart’s Instagram post, which ends with a short clip of his own stand-up material, includes hashtags like #WhyIsHeInFulluniform, #CanadaHatesThatHeDidThis, and, #DrakeMakesBadDecisions.

Drake followed up shortly after with an Instagram post of his own, using an image of Hart’s face to make excuses for the miss. Including a list of hashtags himself, Drake replaced his Steph Curry brag from "0 to 100" with a reference to Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, a player with a perceived jump shot handicap. 

In June, Kevin Hart used Instagram as a platform to similarly clown 50 Cent for his botched opening pitch at a New York Mets game in May. 

Snoop Dogg Signs with Pharrell’s Label

Last month, we posted a video of Snoop Dogg teasing an unreleased track produced byPharrell (see below). Now, Billboard has reported that Snoop has signed with Skateboard P’s label, i am OTHER, which makes sense given that he’s producing the dogg’s upcoming album.

With classic collaborations such as “Beautiful,” “Let’s Get Blown,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot” under their belts, Snoop’s new album has a pretty good chance of being amazing. And according to i am OTHER’s Instagram account, the album will also feature appearances from soul legends Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson.
