There Will Be 3 iPads In 2012: iPad 3, iPad 2S and Budget iPad 2 [Report]

There Will Be 3 iPads In 2012: iPad 3, iPad 2S and Budget iPad 2 [Report]
Apple could offer three versions of its popular tablet in 2012 by repeating a tactic seen with the iPhone. The tech giant may introduce the iPad 3 with a high resolution screen, while also unveiling the iPad 2S for customers wanting more speed, and converting the iPad 2 into a lower-cost entry-level model.
According to Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes, he still expects the iPad 3 to appear in March of 2012. The new tablet would feature a high-definition Retina Display and the Siri voice-recognition system and faster processor. Meanwhile, Reitzes also envisions the iPad 2 remaining in the Apple tablet family. An iPad 2S would just include a faster processor and Siri support. As was seen with the iPhone 3GS becoming free upon the iPhone 4S introduction, Apple could likely reduce the 16GB iPad 2 price to a reported $299.
There had been some reported concerns by iPad 3 suppliers how to increase the new tablet’s resolution while also making the device thinner and extend the battery life. A deal with Sharp could provide the answer. Reportedly, the Sharp LCD screen for the iPad 3 will use IGZO technology, providing 330 dps resolution requiring only a single LED bar. Some suppliers were concerned two light bars would be needed, putting the reduced thickness in doubt.
The analyst estimates Apple will sell 13.9 million iPads for the current quarter, however the figure may actually be lower. He also told investors iPad sales will grow 47 percent to 47.7 million units during fiscal 2012, up from 32.4 million for 2011.

NEW YORK — Veteran stand-up comic Patrice O’Neal, who expanded his following through TV and radio, died Tuesday from complications of a stroke he suffered last month. He was 41.
His manager said Mr. O’Neal died in a New York-area hospital.
Mr. O’Neal appeared on Conan O’Brien’s and David Letterman’s TV shows and was a frequent guest on the “Opie & Anthony” radio show on Sirius XM. His performance was a highlight of the Comedy Central roast of Charlie Sheen, who had been fired from the hit CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men,” in September.
“The entertainment world as well as the world at large lost a brilliant man,” Sheen said on Twitter. “Patrice had that rare ‘light’ around him and inside of him. I only knew him for the few days leading up the Roast. Yet I will forever be inspired by his nobility, his grace and his epic talent.”
Other entertainers also mourned Mr. O’Neal on Twitter.
“RIP Patrice O’Neal. You made us laugh til we cried,” comedian Sarah Silverman said.
Actor Jay Mohr said, “Just ridiculous. Terrible. Beyond sad.”
Mr. O’Neal had half-hour specials on Showtime and HBO and was the host of “Web Junk 20” on VH1. He appeared in prime-time series including “Arrested Development,” “Chappelle’s Show” and “The Office.”

DMX Speaks On Turning His Life Around, Helping Others
Dark Man X says that he wants to selflessly put troubled people on the right path.
DMX has been on the road to recovery since kicking his substance abuse problem and cleaning up his act. During an interview with KPLR 11 in St. Louis, Missouri, Dark Man X spoke on turning his life around for the better and using his experiences to help others better themselves.
“There were times where it appeared I had nothing to hold onto. Nothing to help me get through that. I’m a man of faith, and it’s good to know there are others out there like me,” he said. “Be grateful for the fact that you can see clearly. I appreciate the continued support, and I’m sure you have noticed, but I will never let you down in terms of the message and the delivery of the message. It’ll always be honest, it’ll always be to the point and it’ll always be uncompromised.”
He also spoke on his appearance on Dr. Drew’s “Lifechangers,” where he spoke to a young man to get him on the right path. The Ruff Ryder explained that seeks opportunities like that to selflessly help others.
“I was on there because hopefully, I was able to change somebody’s life and be a positive influence. Because there are so many negative things said. People don’t know the real me. Those are types of things that I not only enjoy doing, but I do them on the regular. I don’t do it for the fame, I don’t do it for the publicity. I do it because it needs to be done. So it’s great to have that side of me shown.”

Buckshot Speaks On Key To Success, Respecting Youth

Buckshot Speaks On Key To Success, Respecting Youth
The Boot Camp Clik member explains how Duck Down Records survived for so many years.
Buckshot recently chopped it up with Montreality while in Canada, speaking on several topics including the type of student he was at school, what he spent his first big paycheck on and Sean Price fighting with an airport cop. During the discussion, the Boot Camp Clik member spoke on his key to success and longevity, explaining that respecting the youth takes primary importance.
“Patience, discipline, obedience. I always have an open mind to know stuff - always - and know it how I do. The first thing I do and the one thing I know for a fact is children are the future, so I listen to the young and I respect the young, because they’re the ones on the come-up,” he said. “Most people think it’s the other way around. That’s what Duck Down is about. That’s why our label survived so many years. Not because we try anything unnatural - simply because we respect the young people or the people that are coming up, or anybody who has an opinion or view of creativity.”

Loon Reportedly Arrested In Belgium For Drug Trafficking
The Harlem World member and G-Dep collaborator was detained at the borders for drug trafficking in North Carolina years ago.

According to DDotOmen.com, the Harlem, New York emcee was reportedly arrested while trying to enter the European country after he had been indicted in May of this year for distributing heroin. The charges stem from over three years ago, in North Carolina.
Loon, now known as Amir Junaid Muhadith, will reportedly be extradited to the United States for trial.

T.I. Responds To 50 Cent's Comments About His Wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle

T.I. Responds To 50 Cent's Comments About His Wife Tameka
Tip addresses Fif's comments that she should have taken the rap for their drug-related arrest in 2010.
After T.I. was sent back to prison for a drug-related arrest last year, 50 Cent took to Twitter to say that his wife Tameka “Tiny Cottle” should have taken the rap for the charges. In a cover story for VIBE’s year-end issue, Tip addressed the comments, justifying his reason for taking the blame for their arrest in 2010.
“I’ma tell you, 50 Cent and anybody else, we not gonna have no discussion about what my ole lady should’a, would’a, couda done for anything as it pertains to me,” he said. “We ain’t gonn’a do that. I’m the only one in my family that’s gonna take a lick when it pertains to the legal system. Since me, none of my other family members have seen a jail cell. Nobody. I’m the last one. The buck stops here. I feel that a person that stands behind [his woman for a criminal charge] is a coward anyway.”
He said that he would protect Cottle by any means, and that even if she had asked him if she could take the fall for the crime, he wouldn’t have let her.
“She wasn’t gonna catch it period, ’cause I’m there. That wasn’t even a consideration. Even if she asked me to I would’ve been like, ‘Nah, you trippin’,” said Tip, stating that she was more important than him in their lives. “That’s a discussion between me and another man. Not with the mother of my children. Not with the nurturer of my household.”
T.I. also speaks on Americans having equal rights and being skeptical of Bin Laden’s death. Read the excerpts here.

MAC MILLER MAY BE FIRST INDIE RAPPER TO HIT NO. 1 IN 16 YEARS

by HipHopGalaxy

Mac Miller, whose debut ’Blue Slide Park’ hit shelves on Tuesday (Nov. 8), may become the first independent hip-hop act to top the Billboard charts since Snoop Dogg’s partners Tha Dogg Pound did so in 1995.
While the numbers, as derived by Nielsen SoundScan sales data, are not yet in on the 19-year-old Wiz Khalifa protégé’s debut, the album is being projected to sell upwards of 100,000 copies in its first week.
The last time an indie rap act achieved such a coup was almost exactly 16 years ago, on Nov. 18, 1995, when Tha Dogg Pound’s ’Dogg Food’ sold approximately 278,000 records via Death Row, which was distributed independently by Priority Records.

AN EXCLUSIVE (@HIPHOPNOMETRY) INTERVIEW WITH #HIPHOPARTIST (@vivafidel )

More than an Emcee, Fidel has affectively used HIPHOP as a vehicle internationally for political and social change. Fidel, A Taste Emcee, has earned many titles ranging from Motivational Counselor, Lecturer, to Political Activists, Freelance Journalists, Producer, Model, & Messenger. He understands the popularity of Hip Hop is well respected in the art of emceeing, without compromising meaning or flavor. Music with substance has become a method of delivering important messages to our youth, especially in his strong hold of Milwaukee, WI.
According to statistical information on Wikipedia, Milwaukee maintains Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), the largest school district in Wisconsin and one of the largest in the nation. Statistically MPS has one of the highest dropout and suspension rates in the country among Black & Latino students. This is why Fidel has created two community institutions: The SUMMER OF PEACE and HIPHOP SOCIAL CLUB, both which serve the Milwaukee Area as intervention programs that empower youth with multi media training, and violence prevention education.
Fidel’s has garnered street credibility by dedicating his time to community development. In 2005, his hard work and efforts were recognized when he was awarded the, “Wisconsin Giraffe Award” which is given by The Wisconsin Council of Family and Children honoring nominees who “stick their necks out” and make profound sacrifices for our children, he is also recipient of the 2009 “Faces of Hope” award for community outreach & entrepreneurship.
As an accomplished journalist Fidel is already submerged in the industry has published interviews with countless celebrities and legends including Russell Simmons, P. Diddy, Mobb Deep, Mc Lyte, E40, Marley Marl, Mixmaster Ice, Hip Hop founding fathers Afrika Bambaata, DJ Kool Herc & Just-Ice to name a few. This well rounded artist is a veteran in the industry with over 10 years of experiences in music, film & journalism. Touring professionally as an entertainer/emcee, he is spreading more than a catchy hook in his songs. Fidel is spreading love for the people through music. Performing with the likes of COMMON, KRSONE, TOO SHORT, MIKE JONES, DEAD PREZ & BLACK EYED PEAS. Hosting political greats such as Maxine Waters, Angela Davis, and Fred Hampton Jr., he has strengthened his partnerships and opened his network to many great opportunities. He doesn’t stop there. He facilitates his motivational workshops on college campuses and schools fusing hip hop culture and education. This is a combination necessary to win the hearts and appeal of the youth. Fidel, a messenger-emcee, also has several business ventures that help platform and compliment his career. “…my message is like medicine to your ears, its thought provoking on purpose, “ says Fidel. With a birth name like Fidel, one can figure why there’s a drive to exude leadership.

THE INTERVIEW:
HIPHOPNOMETRY: Where you reppin?
VIVA FIDEL: Where? I rep Plant Earth
HIPHOPNOMETRY: Introduce yourself?
VIVA FIDEL: My name is Fidel, I’m my mother & father’s son, I’m a Father, Brother, a nephew, and much more, I am a positive representation of the most powerful cultural phenomenon in the world today, Hip Hop…
HIPHOPNOMETRY: How did you come up with your name?
VIVA FIDEL: My parents named me Fidel, and the Viva is a slogan or an affirmation that literally means ‘long live’ , ‘Viva Fidel’ is an international revolutionary salute to the perseverance of Cuban President Fidel Castro who I am also named after. I named my mixtape series “Viva Fidel’ & it stuck.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: What is your main musical inspirations?
VIVA FIDEL: My main inspirations come from the great storytellers and teachers I heard my parents listening to like Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Gil Scott Heron, but also the great orators and messengers like Malcolm X, Paul Robinson, Angela Davis, Stokely Carmichael & Dr. King, people who shaped and changed the world with words.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: When did you fall in love with hip hop?
VIVA FIDEL: Break Dancing on cardboard back in the day.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: What do you think of HipHop where it is today?
VIVA FIDEL: Hip Hop is in a great creative place and also expanding into every aspect of society including education, activism & entrepreneurship. Hip Hop is still the voice of the voiceless but I hate seeing the worst of our behaviors and conditions being paraded as the only truth. We still need to work on promoting the legacy of Hip Hop , many of our pioneers , originators and elders are around to tell the story and bridge the gaps within the culture. There’s so much powerful Hip Hop music and media being put out worldwide! I love the indie, ‘do for self’ spirit that Hip Hop is teaching our youth & our older generations! We just need to balance out some of the death & destruction with some life & love.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: What are your current projects we should be looking out for?
VIVA FIDEL: In 2012 I’m dropping ‘The Listening Project’ , it’s a full length solo project produced by G Sound Musik Group. Also ‘The New Passage” collaboration release with a group from Capetown, South Africa that I’m extra excited about! I am also planning to release a new documentary style dvd as well as my first book early next year as well. Check out the “Art is Life” series on my youtube.com/vivafideltv that’s an intro to another film project I’m working on.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: Is there any previous work that we should know about?
VIVA FIDEL: The ‘Viva Fidel’ mixtape series volumes 1-5 are all available for free download at www.vivafidel.info
As well as several collaboration projects such as “Relative Theory” and my group projects under the “Taste Emcees” banner are available.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: How did you get started in your mentoring project?
VIVA FIDEL: I started my own organization and youth events because I never want to be a complainer who is just real good at pointing out problems or contradictions. I gathered like minded people, parents and community organizers and we promote the ongoing positive programs and assistance available for youth and families.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: If you had to pick one song that defines your career to date, what song would that be?
VIVA FIEDL: One of my songs? The latest single ‘Triumphant’ truly speaks to my struggles and progress for example there’s a line where I say “The culture was bashed / now we teaching the class/ leading the mass/ bring the flags together”. In “Triumphant” I speak on the power of Hip Hop and self actualization. I’m teaching life skills at three schools a week, doing lectures and workshops at colleges and community centers all over the country utilizing Hip Hop culture and history. In the song “Triumphant” I’m also being interviewed by a University of Marquette professor who used my songs and videos in an actual course assignment and that’s a testament to how I’ve always wanted to teach and inspire with my art.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: If you weren’t doing music, what would your occupation be?
VIVA FIDEL: Hopefully some kind of creative art tied into helping people or educating children. Most likely I would be in Film or TV, behind and in front of the camera. Maybe something radically political, I come from hard working organizers for the people.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: Why should our readers give you a shot and listen to your music from here on out?
VIVA FIDEL: I create my art from the heart with the future in mind, its thought provoking and the feedback is welcomed. For me it’s much more than just music, I put my ideas over beats to spark something on the inside of the listeners! Let’s build!
HIPHOPNOMETRY: If you could only take one record on a deserted island with you, what album would that be?
VIVA FIDEL: Maybe something by Rachelle Farrell or Sade so I could hear a woman’s sweet voice…
HIPHOPNOMETRY: Tell us one thing that very few people may know about you?
VIVA FIDEL: I help & promote a lot of other artists, organizers & entrepreneurs through my networks on http://www.youtube.com/vivafideltv & also my online radio outlet http://www.blogtalkradio.com/vivafidel and I also do graphic design & target marketing consultation for many businesses, brands , events etc.
HIPHOPNOMETRY: What’s next for you?
VIVA FIDEL: World Tour, Movies, Mobile apps, Books, Viva Fidel action figures….all kind of amazing stuff
HIPHOPNOMETRY: Any shout outs or last words?
VIVA FIEDEL Thank you & Thank you again. Keep supporting Hip Hop culture & promoting the positive people of the world. Follow my powermoves on twitter.com/vivafidel

Young Jeezy Speaks On Occupy Wall Street

Young Jeezy Speaks On Occupy Wall Street

Young Jizzle says he sympathizes with the movement.
As Young Jeezy's TM:103 'Hustlerz Ambition' approaches release, the Atlanta rap vet recently turned his attention to the Occupy Wall Street movement.
“I would riot,” said Jeezy in an interview withXXLMag.com, “because we gotta get the money out of Washington. This is real. When you got middle class people taking a stance—because we always took a stance by the way, we always stood in the middle of our projects, our ghetto, and took our stance and our stance was hustling, robbing, what have you, to survive. So now they don’t have those same options, so they gotta go march."
Jeezy made comparisons between OWS and the Civil Rights movement. "“We as a people marched millions of times before, whether it was the Million Black Man March or whether we marched with Martin Luther King, we marched or whether it was Malcom X, we marched. And now is their time to march. They gotta go stand up for what they believe in. Stand tall like a tree. If it takes getting jailed and pepper sprayed, if that what it takes to feed your kids then fuck it, let’s do it."
