Birdman says he will Bet 5 Million on the Patriots

“With all of his elaborate possessions – from jewels to cars and homes; his cash money making ventures- from music to videogames to shoes and clothing; Bryan ‘Birdman aka Baby’ Williams is poised to continue shining in everything he does.” He once told Forbes magazine he tries to wear $1 million worth of orthodontics and jewelry every day. So, no, it’s not surprising that Birdman wants to wager $5 million on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. The hip-hop artist revealed on Twitter this week that he plans to bet that figure on Tom Brady and the Pats to win next Sunday against the New York Giants. The message was both semi-incoherent, semi-profane and written with capitalization rules normally found in ransom notes, so we won’t link to it here. Roughly translated, it says: “I like New England because BenJarvus Green-Ellis is my nephew. I plan on wagering $5 million on the game to anyone who wants the action.”
Birdman told Billboard earlier this month that Green-Ellis is his brother’s son and I’m going to take him at his word because he has face tattoos. Still, having family on the team seems like a bad reason to wager 5 percent of your net wealth on the outcome of a game. Somebody is Rex Grossman’s uncle too, you know? The rapper earned $15 million in 2011 according to Forbes and has been known to talk about his gambling exploits. He says he lost $2 million on a Miami Heat bet last year, but won $1 million on the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl. Birdman has his sights on bigger wagers in the future. He vowed to bet $10 million on Floyd Mayweather whenever he fights Manny Pacquiao. Tweet the photos of your betting slips or it never happened, Birdman.

Bleu DaVinci Speaks On Beef With Young Jeezy, Says The Rapper Hasn't "Stepped Up To The Plate"

Bleu DaVinci Speaks On Beef With Young Jeezy, Says The Rapper Hasn't "Stepped Up To The Plate"
Bleu DaVinci says Young Jeezy won't put up the money for Big Meech's appeal, refers to the rapper as selfish.
Months after his release from prison and rapper/Black Mafia Family member Bleu DaVinci has found himself in a bit of a feud with rapper Young Jeezy. DaVinci recently spoke with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and revealed that his issue with Young Jeezy stems from the fact that the rapper allegedly isn’t supportive when it comes to the now incarcerated Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory.
“The issue now is the man running around man using Meech name like it’s like that and that little thing that Meech did on the tape for him that he keep playing on repeat was from 2009. He ain’t doing what he supposed to do. He know what time it is,” DaVinci explained.
DaVinci went on to explain that Jeezy won’t put up the money for Meech’s appeal and “refuses to step up to the plate.” He even added that Jeezy may be too caught up in his fame to help out.
“Exactly, I mean he won’t do nothing period…I just talked to the big homie recently and he’s like man it’s crazy that the part of the fam, the rappers that was connected with the fam that ended up having much success,” said DaVinci. “You know he doing his thing and he’s really in the position to make a difference in Meech life right now. He ain’t really stepping up to the plate right now and it’s crazy that I gotta come home, rebuild this B.M.F. brand from ground zero and do it all on my own you know? When we got somebody that’s still running around saying he love the man and he got him 100 percent and all that…At the end of the day the selfishness sticks in, the Hollywood, and the lights and the cameras. It blurs people’s vision sometimes.”

Simon Cowell and Will Smith to Launch DJ Talent Show

Simon Cowell has announced plans to launch a new talent competition searching for the world’s best new DJs. The show, which does not yet have a title, will loosely follow the format of Cowell’s hit talent shows The X Factor, American Idol and America’s Got Talent.
“DJs are the new rock stars. It feels like the right time to make this show,” he said in a statement, Cowell has not gone into detail about the specifics of the show, or how the talents of DJs will be demonstrated and judged on television.
The show will be co-produced by SYCO, Cowell’s joint venture with Sony Music, and Overbrook Entertainment, a production company founded by Will Smith. The producers plan to announce their broadcast partners in the United States and Britain in the near future. Master of the Mix DJ show was a huge failure and completely wack with Amber Rose as a judge how wack can you get. Hopefully Simon won’t mess this up.

French Montana Says He's The First Bad Boy Artist To Own His Publishing

French Montana Says He's The First Bad Boy Artist To Own His Publishing
French explains that it's one of the reasons he signed with the house that Diddy built.
French Montana vetted a bidding war over the past few months, only to end up signing with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. But according to French, he inked the deal on his own terms, making him the first artist in the history of Bad Boy to own his publishing. Speaking with Real Talk NY, he revealed that Puff did him right by allowing him to own the rights to his tracks.
“I think I’m the first person - and I ain’t tell this to nobody - I’m the first person in the whole history of Bad Boy not to sign my publishing to Bad Boy or Puff,” he said. “Everything I asked for, Puff kept his word. In my eyes, he a real nigga for that. So far, so good. I have no complaints.”
While he wouldn’t comment on other artists who have been burned by Puff in the past, French said that it’s a matter of getting good lawyers who can interpret the contracts.
“I feel like a person, as a man, should never judge somebody on his situation with other people. You should always judge a person based on their situation with you. The situation you got with each other is the only way you can judge a man,” he continued. “I find it kind of weird. How can someone jerk you and give you the paperwork for your lawyer to see… It’s not like they’re tricking you. It’s not like words get up in the middle of the night and change on the contract. You just gotta get good lawyers. Of course, Puff is going to have the best lawyers.”

Cory Gunz Calls Weapons Arrest "A Big Mistake," Faces Three-And-A-Half Years In Prison

Cory Gunz Calls Weapons Arrest "A Big Mistake," Faces Three-And-A-Half Years In Prison
UPDATE: The Young Money rapper got caught in the Bronx, New York with heat.
Cory Gunz was arrested for gun possession in the Bronx, New York, on Saturday (January 28) afternoon.
The Young Money emcee's father, rapper Peter Gunz, confirmed the report to MTV News.
"The details are still sketchy, but I can confirm that he was arrested with a firearm yesterday in the Bronx," Gunz told MTV News. "They caught him around 2 p.m. in the afternoon with a loaded gun in his knapsack.
"It was definitely an illegal search," Peter added.
Gunz was unable to disclose full details on the incident just yet, but he explained the events leading up to his son's arrest. "I spoke to the arresting officer, and so far, what I'm hearing from him is that they got a phone call at the station saying they should 'look out,' " Gunz said. "According to [the officer], they didn't know he was Cory Gunz. They just saw a bunch of kids following him around.
"What I will say is that the officer that arrested Cory actually happened to be a cool dude," Gunz continued. "After arresting Cory, sitting down with him and talking, he felt bad about the situation."

Though this is Cory Gunz' first charge, his father is worried about New York's stringent gun laws, the same that put the likes of Lil Wayne, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep's Prodigy, and NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress in prison.
"To go to a precinct and see your son, your junior, in handcuffs, it's heartbreaking. Anytime you see your child in jail, in the cell, in handcuffs, it's very hard. He's walked down some of the same paths that I walked down, but you never want to see your kids go through what you went through."

UPDATE: Cory Gunz has spoken out on his arrest over the weekend for criminal possession of a loaded firearm. If convicted, he faces a minimum three-and-a-half years in prison.
"This was a big mistake on my part," he told The Daily News. "I didn't have any intentions of harming anyone or committing a criminal activity. So many young people look up to me and I need to fight though this."
"It's been really hard, really stressful," he continued. "When the smoke finally clears people will understand what was going on."

How to Get a $106,000 College Education for Free

How would you like to go to a private liberal arts college that will give you a full-ride tuition scholarship for four years? Sounds crazy? Actually, I'm serious.
Antioch College in Yellow Spring, Ohio, is waiving the tuition for all its students, who enroll in the next three years.
How much are these freebies worth? The value of the free tuition for the current year is $26,500. The scholarship, based on that price, makes each scholarship worth at least $106,000.
Some students, who file financial aid applications, will capture an even greater price break. If they qualify, they may get to skip the room and board charges or pay a reduced price. Antioch's room and board is currently $8,628.

Why So Generous?
Obviously, it's unheard of for a college to offer free tuition to its all students. There is, however, an explanation for the generosity.
Antioch is crawling out of the grave. Antioch College, which was originally founded by abolitionists in 1850, shut its door in 2008 after years of decline. Terrible management decisions, among other reasons, led to the closure, but tremendous financial support from dedicated alumni, who were appalled at the closure, led to its rebirth.
Antioch welcomed 35 students into its inaugural freshmen class in 2011 and it hopes to welcome another 65 to 75 students in the fall. The school's goal is to have about 300 students attending the school by 2015.

"We are a 160-year-old start-up institution with a lot of history," says Cezar Mesquita, Antioch's dean of admission and financial aid. The college wants to make an investment in hard-working, engaged students, "who can help restart this great institution."
Antioch had always been known for its work cooperative program and that tradition has returned. All students will have numerous work opportunities during their four years that include, local, national and international experiences. At this point, the school offers 12 areas of concentration ranging from environmental and health sciences to languages and social sciences.
Academic Profile of Antioch Students
The inaugural class, which hailed from states throughout the country, had an average unweighted high school GPA of 3.56 and an average ACT score of 27, which is roughly the equivalent of a 1250 on the SAT.
If you're a high school senior, there is still time to apply! Antioch's admission deadline is Feb. 15.
