B.o.B Settles $1,060 Tab After Stiffing Collegetown Bar

B.o.B Settles $1,060 Tab After Stiffing Collegetown Bar
UPDATE: Bobby Ray has righted the wrong of ducking out after racking up a $1K bill.
Staffers at Level B Bar in Ithaca, New York have accused rapper B.o.B and his dozen cohorts of stiffing the establishment on a $1,060 bar tab this past Saturday night.
According to The Cornell Daily Sun, owner Brad Weiss said that Bobby Ray, who performed at Barton Hall earlier that evening, ordered three bottles of $300 Grey Goose Vodka and received a complimentary bottle of champagne. The group left without paying its bill, which would have included $160 in gratuity, prompting principal waiter Anthony Vipond to chase them into the street.
“[B.o.B.’s manager] said, ‘We’re doing you a favor for not charging you … When we go to clubs, we get paid to come,’” Vipond said. “I said, ‘This is Ithaca, this is a different town. Things get handled a little differently here.’”
The bar claims that it didn’t hurt them financially and will not pursue legal action, but will think twice before treating celebrities with special service in the future.
“We decided letting it go was more prudent than calling the authorities or pursuing a possibly costly legal battle,” Weiss said. “Next time we will be more cautious about managing the expectations of our celebrity guests.”

UPDATE: According to The Cornell Daily Sun, B.o.B's manager Brian Richardson settled the tab with Level B Bar, offering the establishment $2,000 instead of $1,060. "I just want to make it right by Level B, and I want the people of Cornell to know that we're a class act," he said.
“They were really apologetic,” added Weiss. “High marks to these guys.”
