UPDATE: Com flexes his acting chops in the upcoming flick.
Common shows off his acting skills in a clip from the upcoming crime drama LUV, premiering at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
The flick stars Common as Uncle Vincent, an "ex-con trying to go straight who takes his young nephew with him on a business trip that inadvertently leads him back down the deadly path he’s been trying to avoid."
"It begins with love, love coming from someone whose been through a lot of pain and struggle," Common toldEW, which also premiered the clip and poster for the film. "He doesn't automatically see putting somebody in a situation like that to be as detrimental as it could be."
