Rap legends Naughty By Nature has been announced as the headlining act for EXXXOTICA, which is taking place this November at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison. The rap group joines a lineup at EXXOTICA, one of the nation’s leading love and sex expo’s. The event will feature burlesque shows, male and female dances, aerial acts and panels featuring a variety of adult and mainstream stars. “I can’t tell you what an honor and thrill it is to have Naughty By Nature performing at EXXXOTICA New Jersey,” J. Handy, director of EXXXOTICA, said. “We are all longtime fans of theirs and cannot wait to watch these guys rock the stage at our show. They are true legends, and without a doubt the biggest act we’ve ever had at EXXXOTICA…” Other acts confirmed include Rubberdoll, who will present a fetish show, as well as Digital Playground’s aerial artist/star Stoya. The 2012 EXXXOTICA New Jersey takes place on November 9, 10 and 11. For more information, visit www.eXXXoticaExpo.com.
Philly rapper Vinnie Paz has lined up some of Hip-Hop’s top artists for his new solo album God of the Serengeti. The rapper, who is a member of the critically acclaimed group Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharaohs, will release his sophomore album on October 22. Artists like Scarface, Immortal Technique, Kool G. Rap, Mobb Deep, La Coka Nostra, Apathy, Tragedy, Esoteric, R.A. Jus Allah, The Rugged Man and Celph Titled make guest appearances on the album. For production, Vinnie Paz lined up DJ Premier, Psycho Les, Havoc, DJ Lethal, Marco Polo, Stu Bangas and C-Lance. “I got the chance to work with a lot of legends this time around, which was an honor,” Vinnie Paz told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “To be able to work with people that I came up listening to like DJ Premier, Scarface, Mobb Deep, The Beatnuts, Tragedy, and Kool G. Rap is a blessing and a humbling reminder of how far I’ve come since I first started recording demos twenty years ago,” Paz continues, “to make records for a living isn’t something I take for granted and hopefully that passion I have for this comes across in all of the music I make whether that’s with Jedi Mind Tricks, Army of the Pharaohs, Heavy Metal Kings, or my solo stuff.”
VH1 recently dropped a preview of an upcoming reality show featuring Dipset rapper Jim Jones and his fiancée, Chrissy Lampkin. The pair, who were featured on two seasons of the original “Love & Hip-Hop” series, are starring in a spinoff titled “Chrissy & Mr. Jones.” The preview seems to focus on the pair’s post-engagement relationship, as well as their desire to have a child together. The new series is slated to debut September 24 on VH1.
