  3. The Lakefront

    OUTDOORS

    The Lakefront

"In the summer it is obviously the go-to relaxation and play spot because after 9 months (give-or-take) of winter, sprinter, and a spotty spring, everyone is bursting to get outside and enjoy the water and beach. However, early fall afternoons along Lincoln Memorial Drive are another "peace and quiet" definition for me, where I can take in the beauty of our city and be put at ease by the waves." -Klassik

  4. "Noticing a theme? My favorite spots involve nature, water, and art haha. LSG is a hidden gem in our city; a non-profit outdoor sculpture museum that does amazing community and youth-education work. The grounds themselves inspire peace and tranquility. Also, as far as a day job goes for an essentially full-time musician, I couldn't think of a better, more accommodating and supportive group of coworkers ;)" -Klassik

I love seeing all of the beautiful black businesses under one roof. 13. "Many people do not know that the same person that designed the famed Central Park in New York also designed three parks in our own great city, dubbed the "grand necklace of parks": Riverside, Lake, and my favorite, Washington Park. As a new resident of the Washington Heights area but frequent visitor, I love that the park is pretty much in the center of our own city, much like Central Park in New York. The neighborhoods and different communities that it connects are beautiful in and of themselves, but having such a beautifully crafted green space with the bandshell and the lagoon and pool and the urban ecology center smack dab in the middle of it all highlights the interconnectedness of us all." -Klassik
