Carter IV Finished; Rihanna To Model Armani Undies; Jay Electronica Details

New Orleans, Louisiana rapper Lil Wayne has confirmed that his highly anticipated album Carter IV has been finished and will be released on August 29th. The rapper broke the news to MTV during an interview last week, where he was promoting his new mixtape "Sorry 4 The Wait." The rapper discussed his latest hit single “How to Love,” which he compared to Tupac Shakur's 1993 hit single “Keep Ya Head Up.” "That song is just sweeping the world," Lil Wayne told MTV News. "It's touching every woman, that's what it was for…It was like Tupac had 'Keep Ya Head Up' and it was a message to women and little girls across the world just to keep your head up even though things are hard."

Songbird Rihanna has been tapped as the new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Rihanna will be featured in the upcoming season's campaign for the fashion house, which previously employed Meagan Fox and Victoria and David Beckham as spokesmodels. "Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce that Rihanna will be the new global testimonial for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans from autumn/winter 2011-12," the company said in a statement. "The advertising campaign featuring Rihanna, the singer who won a Grammy Award this year and who has sold over 20 million records worldwide." The ad campaign was shot in New York and will launch in September worldwide. In related Rihanna news the singer is reportedly dating Canadian rapper Drake.

Rapper Jay Electronica recently revealed that his highly anticipated album Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Term) is completed and almost ready for public consumption. Jay-E took to Twitter, where he revealed details about the album, which includes tracks with Jay-Z and David Bowie. So far, only a select group of people have heard the album including The Bullitts, Bun B., Jeymes Samuel, Tony Tagoe, his girlfriend Erykah Badu and collaborator/Roc Nation label boss Jay-Z. According to Jay Electronica, Jay-Z is featured on a single on the album titled "Road to Perdition.” No release date was available for Jay Electronica's album. In related news, Jay Electronica is slated to hit the stage with Radiohead in Manchester, England next month.
