An Ode To Tennis Champion Serena Williams (PHOTOS)

Serena Williams is a goddess walking on our green earth and she should be treated as such. Her strength and prowess on the tennis court is matched only by her beauty which, for some, is an astonishing one.

Serena has a body to die for, women have spent time on operating tables around the world in an effort to achieve what this Compton champ has created through years of grueling practices with her sister Venus and her father.
Women want her butt, her calves, her lips, her color, her stomach, her shape! Her sensuality and sexuality inspire fear in men who desire her. There is nothing about Serena that's ugly or disdainful.
If we were living in a different time, sonnets would be written and sung in Serena's favor. Nations would be built in her honor because she is that fly, that beautiful, that strong, that sexy, that amazing.
Serena is an artist's dream. It was her the artist Robert Crumb was drawing when he imagined himself being dominated by powerful Amazon women. Serena is Africa's Galatea, a statue come to life.
Life pulses through her veins when numbers said she wouldn't survive, when racism and sexism said she wasn't/isn't beautiful enough, rich enough to be worthy of anything. Her family thought otherwise and so do we. Serena is ours and we love her.
