UPDATE: Label reps deny that Max B will be able to get out on bail due to the terms of his incarceration.
Producer Dame Grease has suggested that 50 Cent might come up with the cash to bail Max B out of prison. Tweeting at Fif, Grease hinted that the G-Unit leader would spend $4 million to get Biggavelli out of prison on some "2Pac shit."
The Harlem, New York rapper is currently serving a 75-year sentence stemming from a 2009 conviction that stemmed from an attempted robbery in 2006, which resulted in a homicide. The Dipset affiliate most recently announced a one-week special where he would sell three verses over prison phone lines for $500.
UPDATE: CEO of Amalgam Records, DJ Next, explains to XXLMag.com that the rumors from earlier this morning were just that.
"There is no bail, you wouldn’t be able to bail him out at this point,” he said. "Basically I spoke to Max this morning, I was on the phone with Max and his mom, and Max hasn’t spoken to 50, not regarding this issue. [...] It comes as a surprise to all of us. It’s shocking that a guy as vocal as 50 Cent would have Dame Grease speaking on his behalf. I can’t speak for 50. I don’t know if he intends to do what Dame is claiming he’s saying. I’m not sure where it comes from, but I can tell you this: Max is still signed to Amalgam Digital. Amalgam Digital doesn’t know anything about it. Max doesn’t know anything about it. So we’re a little confused right now, where Dame Grease is getting this from.”
For now, Biggavelli has submitted his letter of appeal and is hoping to get a response in the next few months
